Carolyn was a huge fan of the candle!

Last Saturday Desi took us to the Arlington Million at Arlington Race Track. His friend Keith and his family joined us and we all enjoyed a fun afternoon at the races.
Carolyn loved to watch the horses and didn't like when they took breaks between races.

We sat in the picnic area which meant out in the hot sun, so James spent most of the time resting in the shade of the stroller.

Carolyn and Alexis had fun trading sunglasses and climbing in and out of Alexis' wagon.

The pool is only open for two more weeks, so we've been trying to squeeze in as many visits as we can.
James spends most of his time on his belly these days. He flips almost as soon as you put him down (which has made putting him down for naptime and bedtime longer processes).
Last Sunday, I finally convinced the little one to let me put her hair in pigtails. They only lasted for half and hour, but I got pictures!
August 1
The months are flying by and James is now well into his fourth month. Here are some catch-up picturess of what he has been up to (in addition to rolling).
Loving his daddy. In months one through three, it was Desi, not I, who could most easily calm James and rock him to sleep.
James has discovered his hands and feet. He loves gnawing on his fingers and watching his toes move.
Toys, toys and more toys. In addition to eating his fingers, James is starting to appreciate teething rings, mini tinkle crinkle and other assorted toys.
Jumperoo.
Baby mumrah. I think my siblings must have given Carolyn a few big sister tips when they were in town. Charles - does this look familiar?
Now he is big enough to sit in Papa Chuck's lap.
Our little man:)
rolled over (back to front). He first accomplished this feat at 3am. His confused crying woke me up and I helped him to flip back over. He then repeated it during his afternoon nap (which was probably to give me a photo op since I wasn't really thinking about the camera at 3am).
Carolyn spent a lot of time searching Ashley's house for her cat, Koni. Everytime we left the house Carolyn asked where Koni was and when we pulled back in the driveway she asked if she could go look for Koni.
