Saturday date day

Desi and I enjoyed an afternoon and evening in the city while the munchkins swam and played with Auntie NeNr and Uncle Mike. We watched Cole Hamels no-hitter against the Cubs from the Weber box and then relived part of Desi's college days catching The Samples and Freddy Jones band at Taste of Lincoln (and saw Marchia there, too!:)).

The last day of swimming lessons is fun day where the kids get to go down the slides, jump of the life guard chair and, usually, go off the diving board. The diving well was closed for cleaning, so Carolyn jumped off the guard chair for the first (and second and third) time after being a little nervous the past few years.

Final home run of the season

Softball season ended with a double header last Monday night. Carolyn improved quite a bit throughout the season and can't wait to play next year!

On the final night of carnival I took Carolyn and James back after we went home for dinner to enjoy the last hour before next summer. There were no lines so they rode all their favorites a few more times before saying goodbye. Thanks to Grandma Dolly for our awesome Mega Passes!

SJC Fest 2015

In addition to all of the fun family festivities last weekend, it was also SJC Fest, an annual summer highlight. This year the kids loved the swings, bumper cars and the Gator roller coaster. Carolyn tried the Spider and both boys tried the Tilta-Whirl, but one ride was enough on each.
