James
At school pick-up today, James' teacher said "I was just telling Mrs. S. (the other teacher) that if I ever had a boy I would want him to be just like James. He's the whole package."

Forts and fun
Grandma Mila got out a bunch of Daddy's old toys and James loved it. He even stuffed his backpack with things in an attempt to bring the home. They also built some awesome forts. James can't wait to go back!
James and Daddy's LA/Las Vegas Adventure
Desi's Santa Monica tenant moved out after seven years so Desi wanted to make a trip out to LA to see his condo and prepare it to be rented again. He brought James with him and they took care of business and had a lot of fun. The visited Disneyland, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Grandma Mila and Grandpa Jim in Las Vegas and the sharks at Mandalay Bay. James keeps asking to go back to the beach.

Our first 100th day project
Last Thursday, Carolyn reached her 100th day of kindergarten. We were given very few guidelines for her 100th day project. She started with ideas like hair bows, necklaces and bracelets, but we don't have 100 of any them. So then she started thinking about blocks or Lego duplos which I deemed to be too large to take in to school. Her next idea was 100 pictures. We had our Christmas cards in a pile in the kitchen so her idea morphed into 100 people in her family using our Christmas cards and a few fill ins. We divided the cards into piles based on how many people were in each picture and then practiced all of the ways we could add those numbers together to make 10. She was very proud of her poster which now hangs in her bedroom.
