Destin

We arrived at 6am on December 27 after driving 15 hours straight through (we delayed our departure a bit to avoid the forecasted blizzards on our route from snowstorm Euclid, many of which never happened) and after a morning of napping we ventured out to the beach.  We stayed at Beachside II (the building behind us here).  If you count up to the fourth floor straight above my dad's head that is our balcony. 

Baby Desi was a little unsure about the cool sand.

James was unconcerned that the temperature was in the high 40's and slashed around like crazy.

Carolyn only waded in for the purpose of gathering water for her sandcastle.

Rockin' Ever After

Carolyn and I had a girls night out with a group of friends on Friday to go see Disney on Ice: Rockin' Ever After at the United Center. Mickey and Minnie narrated through compressed versions of Pinnochio, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Brave and The Little Mermaid. Carolyn was so excited that she stood for most of the performance (this was also partly because her seat was wet from all of the snowcone that missed her mouth).
