Bouncy Time

As the finale to the continuous celebration of James' 3rd birthday, he had a playgroup party at Pump It Up: The Inflatable Party Zone.

Everyone had to watch the safety video.  Grandma Dolly joined us to help with Baby D.

Daddy remembered his socks and got in on some of the bouncing.

The birthday boy loved it!

Then it was time to go in the party room for pizza and pirate fun.

Happy Birthday, Mr. James!

Week of the Young Child

James' school celebrated the Week of the Young Child with an art exhibition in the light hall of the church.  Here are James' contributions.

James' actual birthday

On birthday morning (after a cinnamon roll breakfast) we piled into the stroller for an important walk to Kirschbaum's...

to pick up the specially requested smiley face cookies for James' school birthday treat (there are actually 24 in the box, the other 22 are just hiding underneath the cardboard).  James loved being snack leader and sharing with all of his friends.  This is one of his three teachers, Miss Nancy.

The treats continued after school when Carolyn shared a cupcake the she got to decorate during a career presentation at her school.  One of the moms has a bakery catering business and came in to to discuss it with the class.

Dinner was pizza and cake time with Auntie NeeNee, Grandma Dolly and Papa Chuck.  I just made a mini-cake since there were cookies for all of us, too (the rest of the cake was turned into cake pops for his friend party).

Best present ever from Auntie NeeNee!  James has been a little jealous of Carolyn's apron when we bake so he was so excited to get his own.

Auntie also got Carolyn a chef's hat and the two went right to cooking us a feast.

Spring Soccer

The Green Stripes were back in action on April 27 and everyone, including our little lady, showed much improvement from the fall.  She just loves having Coach Daddy on the sideline with her (except that she cries when he shouts any instructions to her so we leave that to the other two coaches).

Last day of Wiggleworms

James enjoyed his final Wiggleworms class on April 25th.  Miss Linda knew not to worry though as I'll be back with Baby D in September.

Crazy Eights

James and Carolyn received Mr. Potato Head matching cards and Crazy Eight cards in their Easter baskets and we have been playing non-stop ever since.  I think Papa Chuck is looking forward to when the kids are ready for poker:)

Zoo, zoo, zoo

Warmer weather is here so our zoo trip frequency is up.  Here are some pics from a visit on April 22nd.

Walk for Autism Speaks

Every year Carolyn's preschool does a fundraiser for a different charity.  This year PEG (Parent Enrichment Group, of which I am a part) decided to do a walk to benefit Autism Speaks.  The kids each colored a puzzle piece, the Autism Speaks' symbol, to wear on the day of the walk and families donated money to the cause.  Carolyn was featured coloring in an article in our local paper about the event.
