Happy 3rd of July!

We spent the third at the Taste of Oak Brook with Auntie Courtney. Two years ago we showed up with a blanket and two chairs, this year we were better prepared with our wagon full of toys, a cooler, snacks and, of course, a blanket and two chairs. The former polo field had been converted to a small golf course so we set up camp on one of the greens and enjoyed the festivities.

James smiley as usual. Carolyn enjoyed the free fries from title sponsor McDonald's.

Carolyn attempted the pony ride, but much as she enjoyed looking at the ponies, she wasn't quite ready to ride one. Maybe next year. There is no doubt, however, that she loves chocolate gelato.

We ran into our neighbors so we all sat together. Carolyn and Ivana had fun coloring together and Vladi helped to make sure that James was okay.

Carolyn was a little apprehensive about the fireworks and rotated between Courtney's lap, her own chair and Desi's lap. James was not a fan so he had a late night snack and slept through most of the show.
