July 3
Once again this year we went to the Taste of Oak Brook for our 3rd of July celebration (we even got quoted in the local paper). We got there early and the kids had a great time roaming around the giant field, hanging out in the wagon, going on wagon rides up and down the hill (courtesy of Doug) and playing in the nearby sand trap.
Watching the pony rides (we didn't even bother attempting to ride them this year).
We stayed well past bedtime and while Carolyn made it all the way through, James went to sleep on Daddy right around his usual 6:30.
Our neighbors came a little later in the day and sat with us. Here is Carolyn, Logan and Ivana playing in the sand trap.
Carolyn started watching the fireworks on my lap, but slowly made her way over to put the moves on Logan.
